Find Out Why It Is Harder To Raise Kids Nowadays

(Understand Why Just Having Good Parenting Skills Is Not Enough…)

Do you want to know what’s the biggest problem I parenting today?

The biggest problem is that parents had something taken a way from them that is absolutely necessary in order to raise self-reliant children.

Remember how I told you how the changes in society require that we work on our parenting skills for the new Information Age. It is true that the world today has brought so much change that parents, schools and society weren’t prepared for.

But that is only part of the problem.

You see, the other part of the problem is even uglier. Raising kids nowadays is a two-pronged problem like…

…Mel Gibson’s face in the movie “The Man Without A Face”.

I’ll explain…

Most girls think Mel Gibson is good looking… I don’t.

I admire him a lot. For his acting and directing and his conviction in producing “The Passion” (it takes a maverick to understand another)

Anyways, he plays a recluse with a disfigured face in that movie. A beautiful movie.

But as I said, he is not good looking. And in this film, the other side of his face looks even worse.

Much like the problem in parenting today.

One side of the problem is the way the world has changed, but the uglier side is that…

Parents had their confidence stolen from them!

Because even when the world has changed and brought new challenges, if parents had full confidence, they would tackle any difficulty like a Green Bay Packers line backer.

You think I’m exaggerating, don’t you?

Let me say it again:

Whatever confidence parents had was slowly and sneakily stolen from them. Here’s how it happened:

  • Less family life and support (no more learning from past generations)

  • Institutions telling parents to back off!

  • Professionals that “know” more than the parents, show little respect for parent’s skills as educators (someone needs to tell them that parents are the best educators for their children)

  • Schools, parents & society (including religious institutions) used to educate children “together” & provide reinforcement of values. Not anymore

  • Fast-paced society. No time to be with kids

  • Media grew in importance and along with it its bad influences

  • And so on…

I’m telling you,

It is harder to raise wise and resourceful kids nowadays. And before you say anything,

Let me say something,

I know you already knew all of this. That’s not the hard part. Pointing out a problem is always the easier stuff, like the mouse in the story: “Hanging a bell on the cat’s neck so we can hear him when he approaches is a good idea. But which one of us is going to do it?”

You’d like to see a practical solution for yourself, wouldn’t you?

That’s why we set out…We set out on a quest:

Power-for-Parents gives back to daddies and mommies the confidence that was stolen from them.

If you want your confidence back, you have to work at it.

Our passion is to help you.
